INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — In Adam Silver’s eyes, the NBA’s new 65-game policy is working. “I can tell you that the number of games that players have participated in is up this season,” Silver said. “I just don’t like it, how it forces players to play if they’re injured to achieve something,” Denver center Nikola Jokic said. And as such, the gap in the system that the NBA felt Team Ignite would fill isn’t really a gap anymore. “We are in the process of reassessing Team Ignite,” Silver said.

Last November, Rubin gathered sell-side analysts for a meet-and-greet and to talk about his growth plans for the company. And in April, the company announced it was hiring Deborah Crawford from Meta to lead investor relations, a new position at the company.

April 1 (Reuters) - The NBA and the NBA Players Association have agreed to a tentative labor contact that still needs to be ratified by both sides, the league and the union said late on Friday. Details of the agreement will be made available once the term sheet is finalized, the sides said. The age limit to enter the NBA will remain at 19 years old, which means most players coming out of high school will have to wait at least one year before entering the league, the paper reported. The NBA's last work stoppage came in 2011 when the players were locked out for more than five months. The Detroit Pistons played the Dallas Mavericks Monday night, and were unable to leave Dallas due to icy conditions. NBA games have rarely been postponed due to weather in recent years compared to the number of games missed due to COVID outbreaks. However, the team — still stuck — was forced to return to their hotel after seven hours at the airport. The game was later postponed, according to ESPN. Over the course of the pandemic, NBA games routinely were postponed or canceled due to COVID outbreaks among players.
LOS ANGELES, CA - JUNE 30: Owner, Robert Sarver of the Phoenix Suns interviews after Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals of the 2021 NBA Playoffs on June 30, 2021 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles, California. PayPal , the jersey sponsor for the Phoenix Suns, warned that it would sever ties with the team if owner Robert Sarver remains affiliated with the organization following his one-year suspension. "In light of the findings of the NBA's investigation, we will not renew our sponsorship should Robert Sarver remain involved with the Suns organization, after serving his suspension." Former Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned from the league for life after his racist comment surfaced. PayPal joins multiple NBA players and the players' association in saying Sarver's punishment doesn't go far enough, including Suns star Chris Paul.
